This Privacy Policy explains how KIS Consultancy BV (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you play Fantastic Chess (the “Game”) on iOS or Android or use fantasticchess.com (the “Site”).
Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account or sign in, we (through our backend provider) store a player ID, your chosen username and avatar, and — if you sign in with Apple, Google, or another provider — the account identifier and, where you allow it, your email address. We do not receive your provider password.
- Gameplay data. Match history and results, rating (Elo), progress and unlocks, your card inventory, and virtual currency balances (Coins, Gems).
- Purchase data. Records of card packs opened and items granted. Payments are processed by Apple or Google — we do not receive or store your payment card details.
- Multiplayer data. In online matches, your username, avatar, rating, and in-game moves are shared with your opponent.
- Technical & usage data. Device type and operating system, app version, language, a device or installation identifier, IP address, approximate region, crash/diagnostic data, and in-game analytics events (e.g., screens viewed, features used).
How we use it
To operate and provide the Game and your account; run matchmaking and multiplayer; maintain ratings, progression, and the card economy; process and deliver in-app purchases; prevent cheating, fraud, and abuse; provide support; analyze and improve the Game; and comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Performance of our contract with you (providing the Game and account); our legitimate interests (security, anti-cheat, analytics, improving the Game); your consent (where requested in-app, e.g., optional analytics); and legal obligations.
How we share it
We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf:
- Microsoft PlayFab — account, authentication, player data, inventory, and economy backend.
- Cloudflare — server functions that validate purchases and rewards.
- Apple / Google — sign-in and payment processing (governed by their own privacy policies).
- Analytics providers — to measure and improve the Game.
We may also share information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or in a business transfer (e.g., merger or acquisition). We do not sell your personal information.
International transfers
Your information may be processed in the United States, the European Union, and other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
We keep account and gameplay data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete or anonymize it, except where longer retention is required for legal, security, or accounting purposes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g., EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact info@fantasticchess.com. You can delete your account and associated data as described on our account deletion page. California residents may exercise their rights without discrimination.
Children
The Game is not directed to children under 13 (or under the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact info@fantasticchess.com and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this Policy; we will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date.
